and
aim to promote the principles of event greening as an integrated part of our service delivery. Ideally we work together with the client and provide a comprehensive greening strategy with
carbon foot printing. Some clients may not see this as a priority however as a minimum standard we will always
implement our projects in such a way that we consider the long term impact of our actions in a practical way, from
recycling and energy efficiency through to eco-procurement and innovative designs.
We encourage our suppliers and sub-contractors to consider the triple-bottom line of their products and
services - the environment, the social impact and the financial implication. We implement this in our office where we recycle, limit printing and encourage energy efficiency.
We are proud to be associated with the Event Greening Forum, which aims to promote and embrace sustainable and ethical investment principles within the events industry in South Africa. Their website has a vast amount
of information and resources.
We work closely with Grace Stead from Steadfast Greening whenever specialist advise is required around event greening initiatives. She is one of the leaders in event greening in South Africa and co-author of the Smart Events Handbook compiled for the City of Cape Town. She has been responsible for the greening of a variety of different conferences and events around South Africa and provides training, support and eco auditing of events. |
